Opening Doors, maintenance team make sure everything is ready and in place ready for the young person to move in. Statement from one of the Tenants.

“Being part of the NDC Housing Heros project has given me the emotional support that I was missing while I was in foster care. I feel more recognised as an adult than I did when I was a child, as I feel more listened to. I feel I have gained a lot more confidence within myself, with the help and guidance from the NDC Housing Heroes project. I feel like I am moving
forward with my life, it is nice to know there is always someone there supporting meMy long-term goal is to start a kickstart program with the support of Mark and Rachel”

How to get in contact

Social workers can make initial contact with the project where afterward Mark and Rachel will meet up with the Tenant. They complete a full assessment, as they need to ensure they are suitable going into shared accommodation with other people.
